Veronica Contos
Veronica Contos, Dipl.O.M., L.Ac., is a Colorado and California licensed and board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist. She is a dedicated, compassionate, and committed practitioner who integrates all aspects of her patients’ health at the physical, emotional, mental, and cultural levels. Having experienced hardships due to cancer, she understands her patients’ fears and the emotional havoc blocking us from living a healthy life at any age.
As a mother, she has a personal interest in family practice and pediatrics. She is invested in promoting and nurturing her patients throughout the healing process by treating not only the symptoms, but getting to the root of the problem with a holistic and sustainable approach to living a healthy life.
Her specialties include auricular (ear) medicine—effective and broadly applicable to treat conditions such as chronic pain, internal organ disease, trauma (PTSD), weight management, and mood disorders; Shonishin (needle-free) to treat pediatric patients and the elderly, or those uncomfortable with needles; and personalized Chinese herbal medicine and nutrition.
As a native Spanish speaker, she can attend to her patients to support a bicultural approach to the healing process. Her combination of expertise, compassion, and focused integration of eastern and western medical approaches to compliment the patients’ treatment plan makes her a highly effective and intuitive physician.
