Lung Channel
This channel runs from the lateral aspect of our chest, down our lateral arm, all the way down to our thumb.
Lung One —> LU-1
Zhongfu (Jong-foo)
Location: On the lateral aspect of the chest in the first intercostal space, just below the collar bone, near the shoulder.
ACTIONS:
1. Descends Lung Qi (chee) to stop coughing and wheezing
2. Transforms phlegm, clears heat, and regulates water passages
3. Descends Stomach Qi
The “Middle Palace”…where our Lungs meet our Spleen (digestion).
INDICATIONS:
—> If you find yourself feeling sick, acupressuring this point will help with cough where you’re producing phlegm.
—> Because our Lungs open to our nose, this point will help with congestion or throat swelling.
—> This point can also help to calm a nauseous Stomach since this channel originates in our center.
Find the point on your body and massage in a clockwise direction for 10-15 seconds. Take a big deep breath. Then massage in a counterclockwise direction for 10-15 seconds. Repeat these steps for 5-10 minutes, or until you begin to feel better.
